Success Examples

There are several examples of success. Many of them are people you know, people who live in your locality, people you work with, people you eat with on the same table, people you meet at the bus stop, etc. Successful people are all over the places and they are quite close to us. 

Success is subjective in a sense. Some of our professors and academic professionals are academically successful, they though may not be financially successful. There are people close to you who have succeeded in one thing or the other. So you may not need to look too far before you find a relevant role model. However, for you to spot a model for success, you must develop your own subjective definition of success. This definition will help you to get the right model whose life you can begin to study in a bid to replicate his or her kind of success.

Folorunsho Alakija for example, is financially successful but it is obvious that she is not academically successful if considered in the strict sense of an academic career. If you want to be academically successful then your model should be an icon of success in the academic arena. If you want to be successful in the game of soccer, people in the league of Kanu Nwankwo, Jayjay Okocha and Lionel Messi should come to your mind.

So for my most respected questioner, I wish you give me your own definition of success, then I may be able to give you hints and counsel that will guide you to knowing the specific icon of success, whose success indices you may wish to replicate.
